Our client is a well-established Civil & Landscaping contractor, that have a strong presence in both the public and private sectors, they are looking for an experienced and dedicated Project Manager to join their growing business.

As the Project Manager you’ll be joining a thriving business where you will be responsible for leading programmes from initiation on site through to completion, work with public and private sector clients, plan & schedule works, and develop construction methodologies. You will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of challenging projects.

Types of projects include general civil construction across including infrastructure and government projects. Typical values from $500k - $6m

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Quality assurance
  • Planning and scheduling of construction activities
  • Manage teams
  • Assist with the preparation of claims and manage disputes when necessary
  • Quality Assurance, Cost and Time Management
  • Preparation of management reports
  • Resolving site issues in a timely manner
  • Liaising with key clients and stakeholders
  • Coordinating internal and external resources
  • Recruitment and mentoring of teams

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
  • 5+ years’ management experience on civil construction projects with a project value of $5m+
  • Project management qualifications will be advantageous
  • Proven understanding of construction with a hands-on approach
  • Proven ability to effectively lead and delegate
  • Effective problem solving abilities
  • Ability to resolve conflict and manage client expectations
  • High level of organisation and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
