About The Role

Join a growing specialist subcontractor delivering high-quality cladding, façade and metalwork packages across major commercial construction projects in Canberra and the surrounding region.

With a strong reputation in the market and a solid pipeline of secured work, this is an excellent opportunity for a motivated

Project Engineer to play a key role in the successful delivery of complex façade projects.

Working closely with Project Managers, site teams, builders, consultants, and subcontractors, you’ll be involved across the full project lifecycle — from procurement and coordination through to installation and project completion.

The Role

As a Project Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating the delivery of cladding and façade packages across multiple projects
  • Managing subcontractors, suppliers, and procurement activities
  • Assisting with project planning, programming, and reporting
  • Monitoring project costs, variations, and forecasting
  • Coordinating shop drawings, RFIs, and technical documentation
  • Liaising with builders, consultants, architects, and site teams
  • Supporting quality assurance and compliance processes
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline
  • Previous experience as a Project Engineer within commercial construction or specialist subcontracting
  • Exposure to cladding, façades, curtain wall, aluminium, or building envelope projects is highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and project delivery
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
