In this senior role, you willshape theacademic and residential life atInternational House.

You willsupportan inclusive, globally minded communityenabledbystudent wellbeingand participation, belonging, leadership and academic achievement.

You will collaboratewith other Colleges and Halls andwith teamsacross the Universityto strengthenpartnerships,alumniengagementand the overall residentialexperience.

What you will deliver

  • Lead a welcoming, inclusive residential community and design programmes that enhance student belonging, wellbeing, success and civic responsibility.

  • Oversee student welfare, pastoral care, incidents and risks, ensuring safe, supportive environments and compliance with relevant legislation.

  • Strengthen relationships with students, alumni, donors and partners, advancing reputation, engagement, philanthropy and community connections.

  • Provide inspirational leadership to staff and student leaders, overseeing operations, budgets, contracts and facilities improvements.

  • Develop and implement strategic and operational plans for International House, with clear KPIs and continuous improvement processes.

You maybe a great fitifyou

  • Hold a relevant postgraduate qualification and demonstrate substantial management expertise, preferably in higher education or other complex organisations.

  • Bring extensive experience in student accommodation or residential colleges, mentoring and supporting students’ academic and social wellbeing.

  • Demonstrate success developing and delivering strategic and operational plans, leading continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Provide outstanding people leadership, building collaborative, high-performing teams and managing performance, operations and financial resources.

  • Excel at relationship-building, consultation and negotiation with diverse stakeholders, including executives, students, alumni and external partners.

  • Offer experience working with fundraising or advancement teams and, ideally, exposure to higher education environments.

  • Proven ability to develop strong relationships and engage, collaborate,consultand negotiate with a broad group of internal and external stakeholders at all levels, from senior executives to undergraduate students.
