DevOps Engineer | Azure, IaC, CI/CD, DevSecOps | Fed Govt Role.

Your new role

As a DevOps Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, building and supporting secure Azure and hybrid cloud environments. You'll develop Infrastructure as Code solutions using tools such as Terraform, Bicep and ARM templates, implement CI/CD pipelines, and embed DevSecOps practices throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

Working alongside architects, engineers and cyber security specialists, you'll be responsible for automating infrastructure deployments, improving platform reliability and performance, managing cloud security controls, and ensuring compliance with Australian Government security frameworks. You'll also provide technical leadership, contribute to solution design activities and support continuous improvement initiatives across the environment.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience designing and supporting Azure or hybrid cloud environments.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates or similar technologies.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps practices, automation and cloud security principles.
• Experience with cloud networking, identity and access management, monitoring and observability.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts.
• Previous experience working within Australian Government environments and knowledge of ISM and PSPF requirements will be highly regarded.
