Clinical Research Study Coordinator

Are you an experienced Study Coordinator ready to take genuine ownership of your clinical trials?
This is an opportunity to join a close-knit clinical research team where the doctors are highly invested in research and the Study Coordinator plays a central role in delivering successful studies and creating an excellent patient experience.
Based in Brisbane’s south-western corridor, the role offers flexibility to work remotely on non-clinic days. Onsite attendance is required for patient visits and home based work is coordinated around clinic requirements.
The role
Reporting directly to the Clinical Operations Lead, you will independently coordinate clinical trials from site activation through to close-out.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating patient visits in accordance with study protocols
- Identifying and phone-screening potential participants
- Supporting the informed consent process
- Performing phlebotomy, ECGs, vital signs and sample processing
- Maintaining accurate source documentation and entering data into EDC systems
- Managing sponsor portals, study documentation and patient status trackers
- Coordinating investigational product and drug accountability
- Responding to data queries and supporting monitoring visits
- Identifying and documenting adverse events and serious adverse events
- Communicating with sponsors, CROs, investigators and study participants
- Keeping multiple studies, deadlines and competing priorities on track
Ethics and governance submissions are managed internally, allowing you to focus on study delivery, patient care and trial coordination.
About you
You will ideally bring:
- Previous experience coordinating clinical trials at site level
- Current phlebotomy experience is essential
- Confidence working independently and taking ownership of studies
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- Experience managing sponsor systems, patient records and study documentation
- Confidence conducting patient phone screens and supporting recruitment
- The ability to build rapport with patients
- Experience across cardiometabolic studies or a similar therapeutic area would be advantageous
- Nursing qualifications or a strong clinical background would be highly regarded
