Join the Team That’s Changing Ticketing for Good
Humanitix is one of the fastest growing startups in Australia and is now one of the country's largest ticketing platforms. Founded in Sydney, we've expanded into New Zealand, the US, UK and Canada, and we're growing fast enough that our commercial engine needs someone who can build systems rather than just run channels.
We're also doing it on a model nobody else has tried. Humanitix is a not-for-profit: 100% of the profits from booking fees are dedicated to charity, going to initiatives such as children's charities focused on health and education. Over $20.5 million AUD donated so far, and counting.
The Role: GTM Engineer
We’re looking for an entrepreneurially-minded and talented individual that is excited to help build systems that solve growth problems across a range of business areas. This is a broad role by design. You'll be pointed at whichever problem has the most value sitting behind it, and be critical in influencing that decision making.
At the role’s core is making our B2B sales team measurably more effective through a RevOps and SalesOps lens; Running experiments to acquire and convert event hosts faster across existing and new channels; And generating insights to be shared with the wider growth and leadership teams to refine the direction of growth for the business.
Alongside those sit the strategic side quests; Contributing to the product direction of our event marketplace, designed to engage and convert previous ticket buyers into new event goers; And identifying pragmatic ways of increasing Humanitix’s coverage across AEO/SEO.
The split between all of this will move, sometimes week to week. The person who does well here finds that energising rather than unsettling.
This is deliberately not a specialist role. We're not hiring a paid media manager who can also do a bit of ops, or a RevOps analyst who can also run an ad account. We're hiring someone who treats "how do we get more hosts onto Humanitix" as an engineering problem, and who is comfortable being handed the goal without necessarily being handed the method.
Key Responsibilities
Sales operations and B2B performance
- Build and maintain the systems behind lead sourcing, enrichment, scoring and routing.
- Own the reporting and analysis the sales team steers on: pipeline health, conversion by motion and segment, rep and territory performance.
- Automate manual sales workflows so the team spends more of its time in front of customers.
- Build and iterate the tooling behind outbound, including targeting, sequencing, personalisation and measurement.
- Work with sales leadership to identify where the commercial upside sits, then build against it.
Host acquisition and growth experiments
- Design, run and measure acquisition experiments across organic, paid and emerging channels.
- Ship what the experiments need rather than briefing it out: landing pages, tracking, conversion paths, integrations.
- Use our CRM and CDP data to identify the host segments worth acquiring, and turn that into targeting we act on.
- Own the measurement and attribution behind acquisition, so we can tell what's working and act on it quickly.
Marketplace and attendee engagement (strategic side quests)
- Explore and test how our event marketplace can do more for discovery and acquisition.
- Find and test the mechanisms that lift attendee repeat purchase, and that convert attendees into hosts.
- Deliver insights about the performance of our marketplace that help shape the product roadmap of these surfaces.
Across both
- Work alongside the broader growth team, adding capacity and building systems that have shared ownership.
- Build relationships with the broader sales team across our Australian, US and UK offices to identify growth opportunities and confirm the effective implementation of any systems.
- Using your commercial judgement to bring an honest point of view of what’s working and importantly, what’s not working.
About You
We care considerably more about how you think than about what's on your CV. People coming from sales ops, growth marketing, data analytics, consulting, startup founding or engineering could all be right for this! What we're actually looking for:
- You build rather than brief. When you hit a problem, your instinct is to open a query editor, wire up an automation or prototype something. Not to write a spec and wait for someone else.
- Strong analytical mindset. You can get your own answers via querying data across our CRM and CDP, ideally with some experience in SQL.
- Fluent with automation and AI tooling. Workflow builders, scripts, APIs, LLMs inside a pipeline. You've built things that run without you standing over them.
- Commercially wired. You can look at a set of activities and work out which ones actually generate revenue. You're comfortable arguing that something isn't worth doing.
- Analytically honest. You size an opportunity before chasing it, you measure properly, and you'll tell us plainly when your own experiment failed.
- Entrepreneurial by default. You've built or run something without being asked to. A side project, a business, an internal initiative. What it was matters less than the fact that you did it.
- Comfortable without a concrete playbook. We'll give you the goal and the context, but how we get there is up to you.
Ideally at least one year of relevant experience is preferred. That said, we are just as eager to talk to an individual with a genuine go-getter mindset and a demonstrated ability to learn fast. A genuine interest in our mission is also a strong plus. We're a not-for-profit competing with venture-backed platforms, and the people who do best here care about that.
This Probably Isn't For You If
- You've only worked inside a single specialist lane and want to keep it that way.
- You need a defined process and a clear scope to do your best work.
- You'd rather manage a channel or a budget than solve a problem.
This also isn’t a software engineering role. If you want to write production code, please consider instead applying for one of our engineering roles!
