The Opportunity

Our Women Up Front Trainee Bus Driver Program offers you the support and training you need to become a licensed and confident bus driver. This includes:

• Extensive induction training program with a mix of classroom and on-road training to obtain your Heavy Rigid (HR) licence
• A 12-month training program (mix of classroom and on the job training) to gain a nationally recognised qualification (Certificate III in Driving Operations - Bus)
• Industry leading pay throughout your training
• Assigned a buddy throughout the training process to support your development
• Based at our purpose-built zero-emission bus depot in Preston. It is Victoria's first overhead gantry charging system which we officially opened in early 2026 as part of Victoria's transition to cleaner public transport.

We’re after people with

• Excellent customer service skills and who enjoy working with people
• A current Australian car driver’s licence (full licence held for minimum 2 years)
• Hold Australian work rights (Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident)
• Willingness to have a pre‐employment functional and drug and alcohol assessment
• Willingness to obtain a Driver Accreditation (CPV) and Working With Children Check

Please note those shortlisted must attend an assessment centre from our North Fitzroy depot.
