The Role

Reporting to the Chief Sustainability and Innovation Officer, you will take full ownership of the Cement & Lime Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with Adbri standards, ISO 9001 requirements and customer specifications, while driving continuous product and process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing the Quality Control and Quality Assurance function across Cement & Lime
  • Overseeing product management for internal and external SA and NT customers
  • Driving investigation and resolution of field product quality issues and customer complaints
  • Optimising raw material sourcing and usage to improve operational efficiency and reduce manufacturing costs
  • Providing technical leadership on cementitious, concrete and lime-related matters
  • Maintaining laboratory NATA accreditation and leading central and remote laboratory teams
  • Leading, coaching and developing a team including 3 Quality Control Engineers/Business Partners and a Lab Manager
  • Driving the regional Innovation Strategy, including plant trials and product development
  • Championing a strong safety culture through visible leadership

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry or a related discipline (mandatory)
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in technical/quality roles within cement, lime, concrete or related manufacturing industries
  • Proven people leadership experience with the ability to coach, mentor and drive performance
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable management information
  • Commercially astute, with confidence engaging clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, and comfortable operating both autonomously and collaboratively
  • A genuine commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
