Intermediate Accountant – Business Services & Tax

Location: Bondi Junction, Sydney NSW

Work Arrangement: Full-time, On-site

Salary: $75,000–$90,000 + super - Depending on experience

About the Role

We are recruiting an Intermediate Accountant on behalf of an established and progressive accounting firm based in Bondi Junction.

This opportunity is suited to an accountant with Australian public practice experience who is looking to continue developing their technical skills across Business Services and Tax while gaining further exposure to direct client advisory.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of financial statements and tax returns for a range of entities

• Preparation and lodgement of BAS and other compliance requirements

• Assisting clients with taxation matters and business-related queries

• Communicating directly with clients and developing strong client relationships

• Supporting senior team members with tax planning and business advisory matters

• Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring compliance deadlines are met

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ Australian public practice accounting experience

• Strong knowledge of Australian accounting and taxation requirements

• Experience preparing financial statements, tax returns and BAS

• Confidence communicating directly with clients

• Xero experience required; HandiSoft experience highly regarded

• CA/CPA qualified or currently progressing preferred

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ambition to progress towards Senior Accountant level

• Full, unrestricted Australian working rights
