QLS has a permanent full-time opportunity for a Manager, Professional & Specialist Education to join our Education team.
The Education team plays a key role in building member engagement through the delivery of educational programs, professional development opportunities, and specialist learning pathways. Through this work, we support legal professionals to develop their expertise, advance their careers, and contribute to a thriving legal profession in Queensland.
As the Manager, Professional & Specialist Education, you will lead and develop a team of education professionals while driving innovative learning initiatives that support the ongoing growth and recognition of Queensland lawyers. This is an opportunity to combine people leadership, education innovation, and stakeholder engagement in a role that makes a meaningful impact on the profession.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and develop a team of education professionals to deliver strategic education initiatives that support QLS's Education Strategy and member needs.
- Design and deliver professional and specialist education opportunities that build capability, support career development, and enhance professional recognition.
- Manage flagship learning events, including Symposium and Specialist Conference Week, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with members, committees, and subject matter experts to identify emerging trends and shape future learning opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement through data, participant feedback, and innovative learning approaches, including digital, online, and blended learning solutions.
Ideally, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Law and Education, with post-graduate qualifications in education highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering learning frameworks, education programs, and assessment solutions.
- Proven leadership experience managing complex projects, driving outcomes, and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across a diverse range of audiences.
- Experience using data, research, and feedback to drive continuous improvement and inform learning strategy.
