Project Manager to lead some of our commercial fitout and small commercial build projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards of quality.

The Role

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will take end-to-end ownership of projects from tender handover through to completion and final handover. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and subcontractors, driving project performance across commercial and financial metrics.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Project Delivery: Manage all phases of commercial fitout and small-scale new-build projects (typically ranging from $1M to $10M+).
• Financial Management: Oversee project budgets, cost-to-complete reports, variations, progress claims, and subcontractor procurement.
• Client & Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, landlords, and consultants to ensure repeat business.
• Procurement & Subcontractors: Engage, manage, and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with scopes of work and project programs.
• WHS & Quality Assurance: Champion their safety culture, ensuring rigorous adherence to OH&S standards, environmental policies, and quality control procedures on site.
• Program Management: Develop and maintain detailed construction programs, proactively identifying and mitigating potential delays.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring a proven track record in delivering commercial fitout and refurbishment projects within the Brisbane market.

Skills & Experience

• Experience: Anything from 3-10 years plus of experience as a Project Manager working for a fit out contractor or Tier 3 commercial builder in Australia.
• Sector Knowledge: Demonstrated expertise in commercial office fitouts, refurbishments, and/or small-scale commercial construction.
• Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Commercial Acumen: Strong financial literacy with proven experience managing project margins, variations, and contract administration (e.g., ABIC, AS contracts).
• Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Jobpac, Procore, or similar construction management and scheduling software.
