Brunel is seeking skilled mining labourers, compactor, watercart and moxy oprerator four our clients site in Far North Queensland

Brunel is seeking skilled mining labourers, compactor, watercart and moxy opreator for an immediate start on a major mining project in Weipa, QLD.

FIFO from Brisbane or Cairns on a 2/1 roster (2 weeks on, 1 week off)

Compactor Operators: Operate smooth drum/padfoot rollers to achieve specified compaction densities on haul roads and infrastructure pads

Moxy (Articulated Dump Truck) Operators: Haul bulk materials efficiently across site, ensuring safe dumping practices

Water Cart Operators: Control dust suppression and moisture conditioning for optimal compaction results

Labourers (x3): Support the earthworks crew with general duties, spotting, shovelling, and site clean-up to keep operations running smoothly

Day shift only

Long-term contract

Requirements

For Compactor Operators

• RIIMPO317F - Conduct Roller Operations (or equivalent)
• Proven experience in bulk earthworks compaction
• Understanding of lift thickness and moisture content

For Moxy Operators

• RIIMPO337E - Conduct Articulated Haul Truck Operations
• Minimum 2+ years ADT experience in mining/civil
• Strong focus on safety and dump zone management

For Water Cart Operators

• RIIWMG203E - Operate Water Truck (or equivalent)
• Experience with precision water application
• HR Licence (Highly regarded)

All Candidates Must Have

• White Card (Construction Induction)
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screen
• Willingness to work rotating shifts (Day/Night)
• Labourers: Must be physically fit and willing to assist operators as directed
