End User Compute Engineer – NV2

Location: Canberra, ACT

Work Arrangement: Onsite, full time

Clearance: Active NV2 required

Start: ASAP

We are seeking an experienced

End User Compute Engineer to support a complex and secure ICT environment in Canberra.

This role will work closely with engineering and design teams to assess, design and integrate applications and infrastructure solutions across enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain Windows workstation and server environments.
  • Support Windows 10/11 SOE and Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 environments.
  • Support RHEL-based environments.
  • Work across MECM/SCCM, Tanium and enterprise patching solutions.
  • Support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, ADFS and PKI.
  • Support Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server, Office and file-sharing services.
  • Assess application and infrastructure integration requirements.
  • Coordinate system and subsystem design activities.
  • Work with vendors to assess products and resolve technical issues.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into integrated technology solutions.
  • Develop technical documentation including High Level Designs, build guides, configuration documentation, SOPs and technical assurance artefacts.
  • Identify technical risks, support deficiencies and opportunities for continual improvement.

About You

You will have:

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience across ICT application integration, system design, infrastructure engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong experience across Microsoft Windows infrastructure and enterprise end-user computing environments.
  • Experience with technologies such as Active Directory, MECM/SCCM, Tanium, Windows Server, RHEL, Exchange, SQL and PKI.
  • Strong troubleshooting and systems integration capability.
  • Experience producing technical design and engineering documentation.
  • Strong stakeholder and vendor engagement skills.
  • Experience operating within complex and highly secure ICT environments.
  • The ability to provide technical advice and lead complex engineering activities.

An Engineering, Computer Science or related qualification would be highly regarded.

An active NV2 security clearance is mandatory for this position.
