The Role

We’re looking for a motivated, enthusiastic IT Support member with a passion for sustainability to work with our friendly, dynamic team to inspire people around the world to make a better future.

Key/Main Responsibilities

  • Provide remote assistance and troubleshooting for Linux-based systems, network-related issues, and cybersecurity concerns.
  • Manage and maintain Linux servers, perform updates, configurations, and ensure their optimal performance and security.
  • Monitor and administer network infrastructure, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure network security protocols are implemented.
  • Implement and enforce cybersecurity best practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection, and regular security audits.
  • Offer online support to organisation’s members for software, hardware, and network-related queries, providing guidance and resolving issues.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, cybersecurity protocols, and support activities. Generate reports to track incidents and resolutions.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to escalate complex network or security issues and work towards effective resolutions.
  • Deliver high-quality member services, ensuring a positive online support experience for all users.
  • A desire to make a sustainable world and better future for all.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in IT, or other relevant field.
  • 2+ years of commercial experience with IT support and/or DevOps environments, with experience in:
  • Installing and configuring computer software, systems, networks, and security
  • Maintaining computer systems and managing servers and networks
  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
  • Providing online technical support and setting up new services
  • Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary and testing new technology
  • Familiarity with WordPress, Nextcloud, Apache, Mail, DNS, CentOS, Azure, cPanel an advantage
  • Software development experience an advantage
  • Brisbane Southside based, able to attend inhouse.
