Museum attendant

The Mawson’s Huts Replica Museum in Hobart is looking for an experienced, energetic and enthusiastic Casual Museum Attendant to join our team.

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Excellent customer service skills

• A genuine passion for Antarctica, history and storytelling

• Strong attention to detail and a professional approach

• Reliability and the ability to work across the cruise season, from November to March

• Confidence engaging with visitors and delivering interpretation and storytelling The role includes welcoming and orienting visitors, sharing the stories of Mawson and Australia’s Antarctic history, supporting front-of-house operations, museum sales, general administration and working alongside our volunteer team.
