Senior Project Manager

CGC Recruitment

Date: 3 days ago
City: Sydney, New South Wales
Est. A$203,220 - A$219,109 / yr
Contract type: Full time

A well-established boutique commercial builder has increased its workload following continued repeat business and is looking to appoint a Senior Project Manager to join its growing team.

The business specialises in high-end commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects for major corporate clients across Australia, with a strong emphasis on repeat relationships, quality delivery and working with subcontractors they know and trust.

Led by two highly experienced industry professionals, this is a small, capable business deliberately building its capacity without losing the culture and autonomy that has made it successful.

The Opportunity

You'll be trusted to own and run your projects, working directly with clients, consultants, subcontractors and the senior leadership team from pre-construction through to final handover.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

You'll be working with repeat clients and established trades, giving you the platform to focus on delivering quality projects rather than constantly rebuilding relationships from scratch.

Why This Role Is Different

This is not a large contractor where you're one PM among dozens.

As a senior member of a boutique business, you'll work directly alongside the company leadership and have the opportunity to influence how projects are delivered and how the business develops.

As the workload and team continue to grow, there is genuine scope for your position to grow with it.

You'll have autonomy over your projects, access to experienced leadership when you need it, and a voice at a senior level.

Who We're Looking For

The business isn't fixated on a particular number of years' experience.

They're more interested in what you've delivered, how you operate and the attitude you bring to the team.

You'll Ideally Bring

  • Project Management experience within commercial construction
  • Proven fit-out and refurbishment delivery experience
  • Confidence managing projects from commencement through to handover
  • Strong commercial and contractual understanding
  • The ability to build genuine relationships with clients and subcontractors
  • A hands-on, accountable approach to project delivery
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or similar

You'll need to be someone who can take ownership without needing layers of management around you.

For a capable Project Manager who wants good projects, quality clients and genuine influence over the next stage of a growing business, this is an opportunity to build something rather than simply join something.
