Financial Controller

Talent International has been engaged by our long-standing client, a globally recognised entertainment organisation, to appoint a Financial Controller to its Sydney leadership team.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a significant finance function, lead local and offshore teams, and help prepare the Australian business for increased global listing requirements.

Role Title: Financial Controller

Opportunity: Permanent Career Opportunity

Location + WFH Flexibility: Sydney CBD, four days in the office half day Friday

Salary: $180,000 base + super + 20% performance bonus

The Opportunity

• Lead financial control for the Australian business, including reporting, tax, audit and statutory compliance.
• Manage and develop a local finance team while improving the performance of an offshore finance function.
• Strengthen controls and reporting as the Australian business prepares for increased global listing requirements.
• Partner with senior leaders and international finance teams across a complex global organisation.
• Bring financial discipline to a creative, relationship-driven business where judgement and commercial understanding are highly valued.

What You’ll Bring

• CA or CPA qualification.
• Financial Controller or senior finance leadership experience within a listed organisation.
• Strong technical accounting, Australian tax, audit and statutory reporting expertise.
• Proven experience leading teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
• The ability to operate autonomously, solve problems and communicate the story behind financial results.
• Big Four or Top Six audit experience will be highly regarded.
• SAP or similar ERP experience.
