We are seeking an experienced Senior Cyber Security Officer to support the delivery and continuous improvement of cyber security capabilities across a complex ICT environment. This role will provide expert security advice, conduct risk and assurance activities, and help ensure appropriate security controls are embedded across systems, applications and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cyber security risk assessments and recommend appropriate controls and risk treatments.
• Develop and maintain cyber security policies, standards, procedures and guidelines.
• Provide expert security advice to technical, project and business stakeholders.
• Review security controls across ICT infrastructure, applications, networks and systems.
• Support security assurance, compliance and Information Security Management System (ISMS) activities.
• Coordinate vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, including management of findings and remediation.
• Support security operations, incident management and the resolution of complex security issues.
• Contribute to cyber security awareness and maturity initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to other cyber security team members.

Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in cyber security / information security within complex ICT environments.
• Demonstrated experience in security risk assessments, risk treatment and security controls.
• Strong knowledge of the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM) and South Australian Cyber Security Framework.
• Knowledge and practical application of ISO 27001, ISO 27002 and ISO 31000.
• Experience across security assurance, vulnerability management and penetration testing.
• Strong understanding of cyber threats, security operations and incident management.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts clearly.
• Ability to work independently and provide senior-level security advice and guidance.
