Are you an experienced Digger Fitter looking for a better roster, great pay, and the opportunity to work on large-scale mining equipment?'

We're seeking skilled Digger Fitters to join our Field Service team supporting mining operations in Rolleston.

Working a lifestyle-friendly 7 days on / 7 days off roster, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of large mining excavators while enjoying excellent earning potential and company-provided benefits. In this role, you will:

  • Perform maintenance, repairs and component replacements on Caterpillar equipment.

  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.

  • Ensure repairs are completed efficiently and to Caterpillar standards.

  • Assess components for reusability and provide recommendations for repair or replacement.

  • Complete service reports, timecards, parts requests and customer documentation accurately.

  • Build strong customer relationships through professional service and technical support.

  • Promote genuine CAT parts and identify opportunities to support customer operations.

About You

A successful teammate will have:

  • Trade qualifications – Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology, Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent diesel fitter trade.

  • Caterpillar product knowledge – experience working on CAT machinery, systems and diagnostic tooling.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills – ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults independently.

  • Customer-focused mindset – confident in building relationships, managing expectations and providing clear updates.

  • Safety-first approach – committed to maintaining high WHS standards at all times.

  • Valid driver’s licence – required to travel between customer sites across the Rockhampton region.
