Fitter & Turner/ Machinist

Our client, a growing Australian-owned manufacturer, is looking for an experienced

Fitter & Turner / Machinist to join their production team on a permanent, full-time basis. A varied, hands-on role for someone with initiative who's happy switching between tasks.

The role

• Operating manual milling and lathe machines
• Machining components to spec from engineering drawings
• Modifying and maintaining machine components, tooling and parts
• Fitting and mechanical assembly
• Fault finding, troubleshooting and repairing machines
• Valve changing, fixing and cleaning
• General equipment upkeep (e.g. changing sanding paper)
• Following WHS procedures

Hours

• Mon–Thu: 6:00am–2:30pm
• Fri: 6:00am–12:00pm

About you

• Fitter & Turner / Mechanical Fitter trade qualification (or equivalent)
• Machining experience, able to read engineering drawings
• All-rounder mindset – picks up varied tasks without being asked twice
• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and WHS awareness
• Comfortable working independently and in a team
