Senior System Integration Engineer

We're looking for a Senior Defence Systems / Integration Engineer to join a specialist technical team supporting the integration, assurance and ongoing evolution of complex ICT and mission systems.

This is a hands-on senior engineering opportunity for someone who enjoys working across interconnected applications, information systems, networks and infrastructure, with a strong focus on systems integration, interoperability and technical assurance.

What you'll be doing

• Integrating complex ICT and mission systems across applications, networks and infrastructure
• Analysing system interfaces, dependencies and integration risks
• Supporting integration testing, verification, validation and technical assurance activities
• Investigating and resolving complex systems and interoperability issues
• Managing system configuration, technical baselines and engineering documentation
• Assessing the impact of technical changes across interconnected systems
• Providing senior technical advice to engineering, project, security and capability stakeholders
• Supporting the integration of new and emerging technologies
• Contributing to technical assessments, reports, test documentation and recommendations

What we're looking for

We're interested in engineers with strong experience across systems engineering and systems integration, ideally within Defence or another complex, highly regulated environment.

You should have:

• Proven experience integrating complex ICT or mission systems
• Strong systems engineering knowledge across requirements, interfaces, configuration, integration, verification and validation
• Strong networking fundamentals, including IP, routing, DNS, DHCP and network segmentation
• Experience working across interconnected or systems-of-systems environments
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical capabilities
• Experience with system architecture and interface documentation
• Excellent technical documentation and stakeholder communication skills

Experience across Windows Server, Active Directory, PKI, MDM/EUD, PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, SOE environments and integration testing will be highly regarded.

The successful candidate will be required to work onsite at the primary Canberra facility. Interstate candidates may be considered where relocation to Canberra is possible.
