About the Role
As part of the Avant Business Solutions HR Advisory team, you will provide generalist and strategic HR support across the full employee lifecycle. Working closely with healthcare clients across Australia, you will deliver practical, commercially focused advice and solutions across a broad range of people matters.
You'll partner with leaders and business owners to achieve positive business outcomes across areas including:
- Employment relations and performance management
- Recruitment and workforce planning
- Remuneration and award compliance
- Learning and development
- Organisation design and change
- Workplace culture and engagement
- Policy development and compliance
- Workplace investigations and mediation
You'll also contribute to the ongoing improvement and growth of our HR Advisory service, helping to develop scalable solutions that support both client success and business growth.
About You
You are a confident HR professional who enjoys building relationships, solving complex workplace challenges and delivering practical advice that makes a difference.
Ideally, you'll bring:
- Minimum 7 years' experience in a broad HR generalist, HR Business Partner or HR consulting role
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline
- Experience managing employee relations matters including performance management, grievances and workplace investigations
- Experience managing workers' compensation, return to work and rehabilitation matters
- Strong understanding of Australian employment legislation and Fair Work requirements
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Strong communication, facilitation and influencing capabilities
- Exceptional organisation skills and attention to detail
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong commercial judgement
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team environment
- Strong customer service focus and commitment to delivering outstanding client outcomes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems
- A genuine passion for learning, continuous improvement and helping businesses succeed
Healthcare experience will be highly regarded but is not essential.
