Located in the heart of Sydney CBD, we're a leading Chartered Accounting and Advisory firm, helping Australia's middle market businesses, private clients and family groups achieve their ambitions.

Due to continued growth, we're looking for a motivated and technically strong Senior Accountant to join our Tax Advisory Group.

The role

Ready to take the next step in your tax career? This role offers a great mix of compliance, advisory and strategic tax work, providing exposure to complex tax matters across large private groups, managed funds and listed entities. Working closely with Partners and Directors, you'll build your technical expertise while delivering exceptional outcomes for clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and review complex tax compliance engagements, including income tax, IAS and FBT obligations.
  • Review and mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Assist with tax advice on restructures, international tax, managed funds, tax governance and other complex tax issues.
  • Support due diligence, transactions and strategic tax projects across Corporate Tax, International Tax and Tax Controversy.
  • Build trusted client relationships and provide practical, commercially focused solutions.
  • Collaborate with Partners and Directors on advisory engagements and client initiatives.
  • Maintain quality, risk management and compliance standards across engagements.
  • Drive process improvement through technology and automation.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the broader team.

About you

You're a motivated tax professional looking to build your technical expertise and advisory experience. Even if you don't meet every requirement, we'd love to hear from you.

  • CA qualified (or nearing completion)
  • Australian tax experience within a Big 4, mid-tier or professional services firm
  • Strong knowledge of income tax compliance and tax accounting
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Experience mentoring or reviewing junior team members
  • An interest in advisory, transaction and consulting work
