We are supporting a fast-growing, diversified financial services group, as they look for a bright, detail-oriented lawyer to join their team.
If you have spent time in a property, commercial, or transactional practice, with exposure to structuring, trusts, or SMSF work, and you are looking for broader commercial exposure in-house, this could be the right move for you.
Key aspects of the role
- Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts and finance documentation
- Supporting lending and asset finance transactions from instruction through to completion
- Advising on trust structures, security arrangements, and structuring matters relevant to lending and asset finance
- Working closely with the business on property-related finance matters, including title, security, and settlement considerations
- Liaising with external solicitors, brokers, and other stakeholders to progress transactions efficiently
- Advising internal stakeholders on legal and regulatory considerations across the product suite
- Managing a high volume of files with strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of templates, precedents, and internal processes
About you
- A Bachelor of Laws with 3-5 year PQE in a commercial, property, or transactional practice
- Experience with property transactions and/or trust and credit structuring advice
- Practical experience managing a high volume of files with methodical, detail-oriented file management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable liaising with solicitors, brokers, and internal stakeholders
- A commercial mindset with a genuine interest in moving in-house and taking on broader commercial exposure
- Proactive, organised, and able to manage competing deadlines across a varied caseload
- A genuine interest in financial services and the regulatory environment, including familiarity with Corporations, ASIC, Privacy, Credit, AML/CTF, NCCP and PPS law
