Senior Consultant – PR & Engagement

AA&P Events & PR is growing, and we're looking for an experienced communications and engagement professional to take a senior role in our Darwin team.

The role

This is a senior position for someone who can lead from day one. You'll take ownership of client accounts, shape strategy and deliver high-profile PR and engagement programs for government, industry and community clients. You'll be a trusted adviser to our clients and a key part of how AA&P grows.

What you'll lead

• PR and communications strategy for major clients and projects
• Stakeholder and community engagement programs, from design through to reporting
• Media relations, issues management and key messaging
• Client relationships at senior and executive level
• Guidance and mentoring for our consultant team

What you'll bring

• Significant experience in PR, strategic communications or stakeholder engagement
• Sound judgement on sensitive, political and reputational issues
• Exceptional writing and the ability to brief a minister, board or community with equal confidence
• A track record of leading projects and managing clients independently
• IAP2 accreditation or equivalent engagement experience is highly regarded
• Strong understanding of the Territory, its people and the way business gets done here
