Authorised Nurse Immuniser

We’re looking for an experienced Authorised Nurse Immuniser based in Hobart to join our small statewide nursing team for the 2027 influenza season and ongoing workplace vaccination opportunities. This is a mobile role, attending government departments, businesses and industry workplaces across Hobart and Southern Tasmania to deliver safe, efficient and genuinely person-centred vaccination clinics. We work with a diverse range of organisations and pride ourselves on being practical, organised and easy to work with. Our nurses are trusted to work independently, use good clinical judgement and provide the kind of care we would want delivered to our own workplaces and families.

The role will involve

• Delivering workplace influenza vaccination clinics
• Attending government, corporate and industrial sites
• Working independently and alongside other experienced nurse immunisers
• Completing appropriate clinical documentation and AIR reporting
• Maintaining cold-chain and vaccination safety requirements
• Providing clear education and responding to vaccination questions
• Some regional travel where required

We’re looking for someone who has

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Current recognised Nurse Immuniser qualification/authorisation
• Current BLS/CPR
• Current driver licence and reliable transport
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Confidence working independently in workplace environments
• A commitment to maintaining current immunisation CPD and evidence-based practice

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who cares about the work and the people we serve.

The majority of work will occur during the 2027 influenza season from late March through to early June, with the potential for additional vaccination and occupational health work throughout the year.

We’re intentionally building a small, capable and supportive team, rather than a large casual workforce doing occasional shifts.
