ERP Business Consultant – Senior (HCM)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior ERP Business Consultant (HCM) to support a major enterprise ERP transformation and ongoing business operations environment. This role will play a critical part in supporting, enhancing, and optimising SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions, with a strong focus on Payroll and Organisational Management.

Working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project resources, you will act as a trusted advisor, ensuring HCM solutions remain fit-for-purpose, well-supported, and aligned with organisational objectives. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a large-scale ERP modernisation program within a complex enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on functional expertise across SAP HCM, including configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and payroll support activities.
• Support HR and Payroll operations within a high-volume enterprise environment.
• Develop and contribute to sustainable service delivery and support operating models.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to gather business requirements and identify improvement opportunities.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and system enhancements.
• Provide expert advice on HCM processes, system capabilities, and best practices.
• Manage and resolve complex system issues, working closely with technical and business teams.
• Support reporting, analytics, integrations, and ongoing system optimisation initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement activities to enhance service quality, operational efficiency, and user experience.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across business and technology teams.

About You

You are an experienced SAP HCM professional with strong consulting and stakeholder engagement skills. You have a proven ability to balance operational support responsibilities while contributing to strategic ERP initiatives.

Required Experience

• Extensive experience as an SAP HCM Consultant, ERP Business Consultant, or similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience across SAP HCM, including Payroll and Organisational Management.
• Experience working within SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Proven experience supporting enterprise HR and payroll operations.
• Experience managing complex ERP application support and enhancement activities.
• Demonstrated capability in enterprise application management and technology service ownership.
• Experience working within large enterprise, government, or highly regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of HR business processes and associated compliance requirements.
