PRINCIPAL CIVIL ENGINEER - URBAN DEVELOPMENT

BRISBANE - SENIOR CONSULTANCY ROLE

Leadership * Client Influence * Greater Autonomy

At Principal level, another job doing essentially the same thing isn't much of a reason to move.

Greater influence might be.

An established engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Principal Civil Engineer to take a senior role within its Brisbane urban development team.

The opportunity combines technical leadership with people, projects and clients - giving you greater ownership of outcomes rather than simply responsibility for delivery.

THE ROLE

  • Lead civil design and delivery across urban development projects.
  • Guide and develop engineers and designers.
  • Take senior responsibility for technical decisions and design quality.
  • Manage key client and project relationships.
  • Control resources, programmes, budgets, risks and variations.
  • Contribute to new work and developing client relationships.
  • Influence the future development of the civil team.

WHAT MATTERS

A strong urban development consultancy background is important.

You'll already have the technical credibility to make decisions, the commercial awareness to manage projects properly and the confidence to deal directly with clients and lead people.

Queensland experience and RPEQ will be highly regarded.

Knowledge of 12D, AutoCAD and civil design software is useful - but at Principal level, your judgement, relationships and leadership matter considerably more.

WHY LOOK?

You may already be comfortable. That's not a reason to move.

But if another position gives you greater autonomy, stronger client ownership, more influence over people and a bigger say in how work is delivered, it's worth knowing about it.

No obligation. Compare it with what you already have and make your own decision.
