Senior Payroll Officer

An immediate opportunity has become available for an experienced

Senior Payroll Officer to join a busy organisation on an initial 3 month temporary contract with high likelyhood to extend longer.

This is a hands-on role suited to an established payroll professional who can confidently step into a complex environment, learn new processes quickly and take ownership of day-to-day payroll requirements. You’ll be joining a collaborative team and working closely with stakeholders across the broader business.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing end-to-end payroll processing across multiple Australian entities
• Applying and interpreting relevant awards, EBAs and payroll requirements
• Processing starters, leavers, adjustments and other payroll changes
• Investigating payroll discrepancies and responding to employee queries
• Completing payroll reconciliations, reporting and compliance-related tasks
• Maintaining accurate payroll records and ensuring deadlines are met
• Partnering with HR, Finance and operational teams to resolve payroll matters

What We’re Looking For

You’ll be an experienced payroll professional who is comfortable stepping into a role and making an impact quickly.

Ideally, You Will Bring

• Strong end-to-end payroll experience
• Previous exposure to complex and/or multi-entity payroll environments
• Sound knowledge of awards and EBAs
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Confidence investigating and resolving payroll issues
• The ability to manage competing deadlines in a busy environment
• A practical, adaptable and team-focused approach
• Availability to commence at short notice
