Principal Software Engineer

About The Role

We are seeking Senior Software Engineers for initial contracts up to 12-months with our Federal Government client. With experience in SAP CRM / S/4HANA or PEGA, you will oversee software development projects, write optimised code, and provide technical leadership to a team of software engineers. In this role you will be responsible for the quality and functionality of the software produced by their team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the development of software and technical design
• System configuration as required to support solution
• Implement strategy to ensure high quality code and long-term maintenance of a product's code base
• Provide expert technical advice on software development and maintenance
• Oversee the release and ensure go-live production support and maintenance for the team's developments
• Drive analysis, design, development, prototyping, unit testing and maintenance activities
• Review and approve proposed solutions and undertake high-level impact analysis of technical requirements, to support project evaluation

To be Successful

You will have previous similar experience within government or similar large-scale organisations and be able to demonstrate prior technical leadership in your role. This role will require Australian Citizenship and be able to obtain an AGSVA Baseline Security clearance at a minimum. Technical skills include:
