A specialist Brisbane practice working at the point where cyber incidents, regulatory scrutiny and high-stakes disputes meet is looking for a Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join its growing disputes and investigations team.

Where the pressure lands

When a major data breach hits, regulators come asking questions and a client’s reputation and customer trust are on the line, this team is who they call. The firm combines legal advice with cyber intelligence, crisis communications and digital expertise, standing alongside clients at their most critical moments.

What you’ll lead

You’ll run significant disputes and investigations with real autonomy and direct access to senior leadership, and you’ll be trusted with high-stakes matters from the outset. Your work will include:

• Regulatory investigations
• Data breach litigation
• Privacy complaints and class actions
• Tech E&O and professional indemnity disputes
• Emerging claims in the digital sector

You’ll work with cyber incident responders, digital forensics specialists, crisis communications advisers and international legal partners. It’s fast-moving work that is a long way from traditional litigation.

Who we’d love to meet

• Senior Associate or Special Counsel level
• Strong commercial or insurance litigation experience
• Confident managing complex disputes and client relationships
• Strategic, and comfortable in fast-moving environments
• Curious about cyber, privacy and emerging technology
