About The Role

Our Federal Government Client, Services Australia, is seeking an APS5 Systems Analyst.

This is a long-term contract opportunity.

As The Selected Candidate, You Will

• Analyse and evaluate business processes and system requirements.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and ICT solutions.
• Configure systems to support business and technical outcomes.
• Support the design, development and implementation of ICT solutions.
• Prepare and maintain solution documentation, specifications and technical reports.
• Conduct testing activities, including test planning, execution and coverage reviews.
• Perform technical assessments, identifying risks, impacts and benefits.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers and testing teams.
• Support system improvements, enhancements and change management activities.
• Monitor solution performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with quality assurance reviews of specifications and design documentation.
• Support operational activities and provide guidance to team members where required.

To Be Successful In This Role You Should Have

• Requirements Definition & Management (SFIA Level 3)
• Experience defining, documenting and managing business and system requirements.
• Ability to facilitate requirements gathering workshops and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience prioritising requirements and maintaining traceability.
• Ability to review requirements for completeness and manage change requests.
• Software Design (SFIA Level 3)
• Experience designing moderately complex software applications or components.
• Ability to create functional and non-functional solution designs.
• Experience designing user and system interfaces.
• Ability to assess design options and contribute to architecture discussions.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in Federal Government or large-scale enterprise environments.
• Understanding of ICT governance, information management and legislative frameworks.
• Knowledge of privacy, security and compliance requirements.

It Is Desirable If You Have

• Feasibility Assessment (SFIA Level 3)
• Experience supporting options analysis and feasibility assessments.
• Ability to contribute to business cases and cost-benefit analysis.
• User Experience Evaluation (SFIA Level 2)
• Experience supporting user testing and feedback activities.
• Ability to assist in evaluating systems, services and prototypes.

Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian Citizens with ability to obtain

Baseline Security Clearance.
