Junior Accountant

About the opportunity

A large organisation based in St Leonards is seeking an enthusiastic Junior Accountant to join its finance team.

This permanent opportunity would suit someone early in their accounting or finance career who is eager to learn and broaden their skills.

Working alongside experienced colleagues, you’ll support daily finance activities while developing an understanding of cash management, banking and treasury operations.

Your responsibilities

• Assist with daily cash reporting and cash flow forecasts.
• Support bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with payments, banking queries and bank account administration.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Support corporate card administration and banking controls.
• Liaise with internal finance teams and banking contacts.
• Contribute to reporting and process improvements.
• Take on broader treasury activities as your knowledge develops.

About you

You may be a recent accounting or finance graduate, or have some initial experience in a finance support role.

• Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Clear communication and a collaborative approach.
• Confidence using Excel and working with numbers.
• Initiative and a willingness to assist with routine tasks and new challenges.
• A relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline.
