URGENT HIRING | SOLAR CONSTRUCTION & INSTALLATION PROJECT LEAD – AUSTRALIA-WIDE

Grid Electrics Group is looking for an experienced, hands-on construction professional to join our team ASAP!

Are you experienced in construction, civil works, solar installations, site management and leading teams? Can you take ownership of projects from site preparation through to completion while working hands-on with the team?

About the Role

We need a capable, practical and reliable professional who can oversee and carry out works across our commercial solar installation and construction projects throughout Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate commercial solar installation and construction projects.
  • Manage day-to-day site operations, labourers, subcontractors and project schedules.
  • Carry out hands-on construction, installation and site works as required.
  • Coordinate civil works, excavation, concrete, mounting structures and solar installation activities.
  • Manage site preparation, materials, equipment, plant and deliveries.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, scopes of work and site requirements.
  • Ensure WHS compliance, SWMS, inductions, site documentation and quality standards.
  • Identify site issues, resolve practical problems and keep projects progressing.
  • Travel interstate as required to support projects across Australia.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in construction, commercial solar installation or related site-based projects.
  • Strong leadership, coordination and hands-on problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, tools, equipment, plant and site operations.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and coordinate multiple trades.
  • Relevant Australian licences, tickets and qualifications for the work undertaken.
  • A current driver's licence and willingness to travel interstate.
  • Reliable, proactive and able to work independently while leading a team.

Electrical work must only be performed by appropriately licensed electrical workers. A current electrical licence is highly regarded and required where the role involves licensed electrical work.

Location: Australia-wide projects, must be able to travel as per project locations
