Remedial Massage Therapist – Contractor Opportunity

Employment Type: Independent Contractor

Hours Available: Tuesday to Friday

Duration: Long-term opportunity preferred

About The Role

We are seeking a motivated Remedial Massage Therapist with a strong interest in fitness, sport and musculoskeletal health to join our team on a contractor basis.

This role is suited to a therapist who is confident in patient assessment and delivering targeted remedial treatments. This is not a spa or relaxation massage position. You must be comfortable working with clients presenting with musculoskeletal concerns, using deep tissue and remedial massage techniques, and providing appropriate exercise recommendations.

Training will be provided for the right person, and we are looking for someone interested in developing a long-term working relationship.

Available Hours

The Following Shifts Are Available

• Tuesday: 8:00 am – 2:00 pm
• Wednesday: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
• Thursday: 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
• Friday: 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Key Responsibilities

• Assess clients and identify relevant musculoskeletal concerns.
• Deliver remedial massage and deep tissue treatments tailored to individual needs.
• Apply sound anatomical knowledge when planning and delivering treatments.
• Provide appropriate exercise recommendations to support client outcomes.
• Maintain professional standards and accurate client records.
• Communicate effectively with clients and support their fitness, sport and rehabilitation goals.

Requirements

Applicants must have:

• A genuine passion for fitness, sport and musculoskeletal health.
• Relevant massage qualifications and the ability to deliver remedial massage treatments.
• Current membership with a recognised professional association.
• A valid health fund provider number, where applicable.
• Current professional insurance.
• A valid Working With Children Check (WWCC).
• Strong anatomical knowledge.
• Confidence in client assessment, deep tissue techniques and remedial massage.

Desirable Skills

The Following Would Be Advantageous

• Dry needling certification.
• Cupping experience or training.
• Knowledge of exercise programming.
• Experience working with athletes or physically active clients.

Training & Remuneration

• Training provided for the right candidate.
• Hourly rate to be discussed.
• Long-term commitment preferred.
