SAP Material Master Data Specialist | Contract | Brisbane

Cozens Mabel is partnering with a leading mining organisation to recruit an experienced SAP Material Master Data Specialist for an initial 5–6 month contract based in Brisbane.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a great team with a supportive leader, working in modern offices with flexible hybrid arrangements (3 days in the office, 2 days from home).

With plenty of projects and transformation initiatives underway, there is also strong potential for a contract extension.

Working closely with procurement, supply chain, engineering and operations teams, you will play a key role in improving material master data quality, governance and processes within SAP S/4HANA.

Key responsibilities include

• Establish, maintain and manage material master records in SAP S/4HANA, including bills of materials (BOMs), technical specifications and engineering data.
• Undertake material master data cleansing, standardisation, deduplication and rationalisation.
• Support SAP S/4HANA transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, supply chain and operational stakeholders to improve data accuracy and consistency.
• Strengthen master data governance, classification standards and data integrity.
• Support system testing, reporting, process improvements and user training.

To be successful, you will ideally bring

• Demonstrated experience in SAP Material Master Data management, ideally within an SAP S/4HANA environment.
• Strong understanding of material classifications, descriptions, attributes and bills of materials.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications and equipment documentation.
• Proven experience in data cleansing, rationalisation and master data governance.
• Exposure to SAP implementations, migrations or business transformation projects.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to engage with technical and operational stakeholders.
