Senior Project Manager

There's a certain group of senior PMs that have fought hard to get to where they are and they're not done yet. They're looking to what's next and that role doesn't exist within their business. At this builder there is a clear pathway for those who have what it takes.

Based in Melbourne's inner east, this commercial builder is looking for a Project Manager as its workload continues to grow. It's a newly created position rather than a replacement, with a strong pipeline of work across Melbourne and Greater Melbourne.

You will take responsibility for projects valued up to $15 million, spanning both fit-out and new build across the commercial, education, health & wellbeing and industrial sectors.

Alongside delivering projects, you will have a pathway to developing client relationships and bringing in work of your own, with commission on the projects you secure. This gives you the opportunity to build on your project management experience and be financially rewarded for contributing to the growth of the business.

You may already be a Senior Project Manager with the experience and relationships to take on this responsibility.

Alternatively, you may be an experienced PM who wants to focus on delivery while developing towards that next step. You don't need to be ready to bring in work immediately, but you will be looking for a business that offers that pathway.

This is the type of business where you will know everyone by name rather than being another number. They have an 80% staff retention rate and have built a strong reputation through repeat clients, consistent delivery and long-term relationships. Their pipeline is also supported by a developer arm of the business, providing another source of ongoing work.

The office is surrounded by great cafés and is easy to get to by train, tram or car.

To be considered, you must already have experience as a Project Manager with a commercial head contractor. This excludes residential and civil.

The package for an experienced PM is up to $200k. If you're at the level where you can bring work with you, the overall package is negotiable, starting at $220k and up.
