Defence opportunities - System Engineering & Testing

PERSOL is currently recruiting for two exciting opportunities with a Defence consultancy partner, supporting a critical Defence Targeting Systems Project. We are seeking experienced Systems Engineers and Database Developers with an active NV2 security clearance.

Available Opportunities

1. Systems Engineer - Defence Systems Integration (NV2 clearance), 12 month contract, Canberra

• Develop Defence systems engineering and capability documentation.
• Produce DoDAF/NAF-aligned architectures, requirements, and design artefacts.
• Develop SoW/SoR technical documentation to support procurement activities.
• Maintain requirements traceability within an MBSE environment.

Essential

• Experience with MBSE requirements traceability.
• Strong systems engineering and technical documentation skills.

Highly Desirable

• Defence systems engineering experience.

Desirable

• Experience with Defence capability management processes.
• Knowledge of ADF intelligence and targeting.
• Experience authoring Gate 1/ Gate 2 capability documentation.

2. Senior Test Analyst (TSPV Clearance), 12 month contract with 2 x 12 months extension, Canberra/ Melbourne

• Liaise with key stakeholders to understand business risks and impacts; and to define clear, measurable acceptance criteria for new or enhanced software features.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand system architecture, integrations, constraints, infrastructure, risks and downstream impacts of change.
• Design, maintain and execute comprehensive test strategies, plans and test cases; including regression testing to ensure ongoing system stability and quality.
• Perform system integration testing and user acceptance testing for new features, enhancements and defect fixes.
• Manage defect identification, analysis, logging, prioritisation and verification of fixes through re-testing.
• Ensure full traceability between requirements, acceptance criteria, test scenarios and test cases.
• Select, apply and document appropriate test techniques and methodologies to support effective test coverage.
• Produce and maintain high quality test artefacts; including test plans, report and metrics.
• Ensures acceptance criteria and definition of done are clearly understood, agreed, documented and met.
• Leads and coordinates testing activities by allocating work and resources, setting priorities, developing test strategies and evaluating testing outcomes against business objectives.
