Estimating Manager

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Estimator or Estimating Manager to take ownership of the estimating function, build and lead a team within an established and growing commercial construction company.

Working across a diverse portfolio of commercial newbuild and refurbishment projects, including education, healthcare, government, and hospitality sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating function across commercial newbuild, fitout and refurbishment projects
• Manage tenders from initial review through to final submission
• Develop competitive pricing strategies and provide commercial input on major bids
• Prepare and review detailed estimates, BOQs, subcontractor comparisons and value engineering opportunities
• Assess tender risks, procurement strategies and project feasibility
• Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and clients
• Build, mentor and develop the estimating team as the business continues to grow
• Work closely with Directors and project delivery teams to secure profitable projects

Skills & Experience

• 8+ years' estimating experience with a commercial head contractor
• Strong project experience across commercial newbuild, fitout and refurbishment
• Experience tendering projects across education, healthcare, government, industrial and commercial sectors
• Strong understanding of D&C, ECI and Construct Only procurement methodologies
• Previous leadership experience or ambition to progress into an Estimating Manager role
• Strong commercial acumen, subcontractor negotiation and tender management skills
• Proficiency in Cubit, CostX, EstimateOne or similar estimating software
