This role is initially based in Cannington and will be relocating to Rockingham in the new year.

Job Description

• Process accounts payable invoices and resolve invoice discrepancies
• Reconcile supplier statements and balance sheet accounts
• Assist with general ledger maintenance and trial balance preparation
• Process accounts payable payments and administrative invoices
• Support payroll processing, timesheet administration and leave management
• Complete bank reconciliations and financial data entry
• Assist with debtor collections and receipting
• Maintain employee records and finance-related documentation
• Provide administrative support to the finance and broader business teams
• Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives
• Support month-end accounting activities and reporting requirements

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate should have:

• Accounting, Finance or Commerce degree completed or currently in progress
• Studying towards or intending to commence CA or CPA qualifications
• Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant, Finance Officer, Accounts Officer, Payroll Officer or similar role preferred
• Exposure to accounts payable, payroll, reconciliations or general accounting functions desirable
• Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and develop
