Our client is a leading independent Australian law firm with a strong national presence.

The Team

The Banking & Finance team advises major Australian and international financial institutions, investment banks, corporates and private equity funds on sophisticated financing transactions.

The practice covers leveraged and acquisition finance, corporate and project finance, real estate finance and complex restructuring matters.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a high performing team.

The Role

An excellent opportunity exists for a Lawyer (2+ PAE) to join a highly regarded Banking & Finance practice.

Working closely with experienced Banking & Finance Partners and a collaborative team, you will:

  • Advise on complex domestic and international banking and finance transactions.
  • Act for major lenders, borrowers, financial sponsors and corporate clients on a broad range of financing matters.
  • Support clients on complex restructuring and refinancing matters.
  • Manage transaction workstreams and coordinate with clients, counterparties and other advisers throughout the transaction lifecycle.

About you

Ideally, you will have at least 2 years' post-admission experience gained within a well-regarded Banking & Finance practice.

Additionally, you will have:

  • Strong experience in banking and finance transactions, ideally across leveraged, acquisition, project, corporate or real estate finance.
  • Excellent drafting, analytical and technical legal skills.
  • A sound understanding of financing structures and the broader banking and finance market.
  • A proactive approach and a genuine interest in developing your expertise across complex financing transactions.
