Senior Commercial Analyst

A leading manufacturing business is seeking a high-calibre Senior Commercial Analyst to join their finance team in a pivotal commercially focused role. Acting as the 2IC to the Head of Finance, this position will play a key role in driving business performance through detailed sales analysis, strategic insights, forecasting, and business partnering across operations and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver detailed sales, margin, and profitability analysis across multiple business units and product lines
• Analyse large and complex datasets to provide actionable commercial insights and performance recommendations
• Partner closely with sales, operations, supply chain, and senior leadership teams
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Support the Head of Finance with strategic initiatives, board reporting, and commercial decision-making
• Develop financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools to improve visibility and performance tracking
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to drive business growth and operational efficiencies
• Assist in driving continuous improvement initiatives across reporting, systems, and processes

About You

• CA/CPA qualified
• Strong experience within commercial finance, FP&A, or commercial analysis roles
• Background within the manufacturing industry is required
• Advanced Excel and strong ERP/BI systems experience
• Proven ability to work with large datasets and translate data into meaningful business insights
• Strong stakeholder engagement and business partnering capability
• Commercially astute with a proactive and analytical mindset
