About the Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Performance Testers to join a large-scale federal government ICT environment supporting complex enterprise applications and digital transformation initiatives.

This role will focus on performance validation, scalability testing, and system assurance across high-volume transactional platforms operating within Agile delivery environments.

  • Opportunities are available in ACT and VIC with hybrid working arrangements.
  • Initial contract starting from June 2027 with 2x 12 months extensions.
  • Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) Security Clearance is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

As a Performance Tester, you will:

  • Plan, coordinate and execute performance testing activities across multiple projects
  • Develop and maintain performance test scripts and frameworks
  • Design and execute load, stress, endurance and spike testing scenarios
  • Analyse system performance, identify bottlenecks and support root cause analysis
  • Collaborate with project managers, delivery teams and technical stakeholders
  • Prepare performance test plans, schedules, reports and technical documentation
  • Provide technical advice on performance testing tools, environments and best practices
  • Manage testing risks, issues and dependencies
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within testing and quality assurance processes
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and capability uplift within teams

Required Skills and Experience

The successful candidates will demonstrate experience in:

  • End-to-end performance testing within enterprise ICT environments
  • Performance test planning, execution and reporting
  • Performance scripting and automation
  • LoadRunner, NeoLoad, JMeter and SOAP UI / Load UI
  • Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools
  • API and web services performance testing
  • Performance analysis, bottleneck identification and troubleshooting
  • SQL and database performance validation
  • Azure DevOps and CI/CD delivery environments
  • Linux / Unix / Bash fundamentals
  • Agile project delivery methodologies

Highly Desirable

  • Experience working in large government or regulated enterprise environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Experience contributing to testing standards, frameworks and process improvement
  • Knowledge of enterprise-scale release and assurance processes
  • Reporting and measurement capability aligned with testing metrics and quality outcomes
