Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with 4-8 years of experience to join our Brisbane team. This role is suited to an engineer with a strong detailed design background, preferably gained within a consultancy environment supporting the mining and resources sector.

Experience in controls systems is advantageous, and occasional site travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality electrical designs across a variety of project.
• Work collaboratively with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to support concept development, detailed design, and project delivery.
• Develop design packages, specifications, calculations, and drawings that meet industry standards and project scope.
• Support project management activities, including task planning, progress tracking, resourcing, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with relevant codes, standards, and quality processes.
• Engage directly with clients, contributing to design meetings, technical discussions, and problem‑solving to ensure positive project outcomes.
• Undertake occasional site visits for inspections, data gathering, design validation, and commissioning support.

Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 4-8 years of Australian experience in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with electrical control systems is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficient in relevant engineering software and tools.
• RPEQ or working towards registration.
• Willingness to undertake occasional site travel.
