A leading international law firm has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join its Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice in Brisbane. The Brisbane Litigation & Dispute Resolution team advises public and private sector clients across a broad range of industries, including construction, energy, mining, oil and gas, health, property, retail, hospitality and finance.

As a senior member of the team, you will play a key role in delivering strategic advice and managing complex litigation matters, with exposure to a wide variety of disputes, including:

  • General commercial and contractual disputes
  • Corporate and shareholder disputes
  • ACL claims and regulatory investigations and prosecutions
  • Leasing and property‑related disputes
  • Defamation matters

You will provide high‑quality legal advice, manage files autonomously, appear in court as required, and support junior lawyers through supervision and mentoring. The role also offers the opportunity to work closely with senior practitioners on client development and practice growth initiatives.

You will be a capable and commercially minded litigator with:

  • 7+ years’ post‑admission experience in litigation and dispute resolution
  • Experience gained in a comparable firm environment
  • Strong technical skills and sound commercial judgement
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused approach
  • Excellent client service skills
  • Strong written, oral and organisational capabilities

Experience supervising junior lawyers and contributing to business development will be highly regarded.
