Project Director

We are hiring for Project Director for our NSW Government client.

Contract Duration – 6 months

Work Location - Sydney

Visa Status - Full work rights

Key Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary teams delivering a portfolio of strategic projects
• Drive project delivery within the railway environment
• Proactively resolve challenges and manage key stakeholder expectations
• Lead high-level consultations and negotiations with internal TfNSW and Sydney Trains stakeholders
• Provide expert and strategic advice to project delivery teams on budget and resource management
• Determine options and solutions to project issues, managing risks and minimising delivery impacts
• Collaborate with Sydney Trains Branches to enhance knowledge sharing, resource utilisation, and ensure full compliance with TfNSW and world best practice

Mandatory Skills

• Significant experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in a portfolio/strategic project environment
• Extensive experience in project delivery within the railway or transport sector
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills at executive level
• Demonstrated ability to manage risk, budgets, and project governance
