About your role

You'll own the entire customer-facing experience. From whiteboard sketches to live platform - it's yours. We're seeking a front-end focused software engineer (who ideally has aspiration to become a full-stack engineer), and you'll work directly with our incredible Head of Engineering in a small, focused team where mentoring and guidance will be given. We're based in Sydney CBD and encourage coming into the office 1-2 days a week.

What you'll actually do

• Wear multiple hats: frontend, some backend, UX/design considerations, and customer-facing concerns like authentication and SEO
• Design and build intuitive frontends (you'll use AI design tools like Figma & Canva to find templates, customise them for our needs, then code it in Vue)
• Ship end-to-end features: authentication, workflows, A/B testing, iteration cycles
• Pick up new tech as we go - we move fast, but smart

The honest bit

#1: We don't have a designer yet, so you're it. You'll need to be comfortable going from idea --> design --> code. If that sounds exciting (not terrifying), this might be the right role for you.

#2: We value someone who can be shown a goal, figure out the path, and run with it. We'll absolutely guide you as much as we can, but we're also looking for self-directed builders.

#3: SALARY. We are happy to transparently share our compensation range is $100-140k (depending on experience), plus early stage startup equity (ESOP) is on offer.

What we're looking for

• Some experience working with TypeScript/modern JS (~1-3 years work experience is ideal)
• VueJS & Nuxt experience
• Experience with design tools (such as Figma, Canva) and AI code-assist tools (Claude Code)
• Hunger to learn and growth mindset
• Comfort with moving fast and building things that last

Nice-to-haves

• Databases (SQL/NoSQL)
• REST APIs & authentication (OAuth, SSO)
• Docker, AWS Laravel/Symfony
• Startup experience
