Physical Infrastructure Support Engineer

Employment: Permanent Role

Experience: 7+ years

Location: Sydney, Australia - Hybrid

Eligibility: Candidates must have the right to work in Australia (Citizen, PR, Valid Visa holders).

Key Responsibilities

Physical Hardware Support

• Perform hardware maintenance and replacements including disks, memory, PSUs, adapters, and cables
• Install and remove Oracle hardware components following approved procedures and compliance standards
• Use customer-provided spare parts for remediation activities

Incident Response

• Provide ad hoc, call-out support during Oracle hardware incidents
• Join incident bridge calls and coordinate with remote teams and vendors
• Support timely recovery and restoration of services

Coordination & Documentation

• Work with infrastructure, incident management, and OEM/vendor teams
• Maintain clear communication during hardware interventions
• Document replaced components, serial numbers, actions, and outcomes
• Follow change, incident, and asset management processes

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience in enterprise/datacenter hardware support
• Oracle hardware certification or equivalent vendor certification preferred
• Enterprise server and storage hardware
• Disk and hardware component replacement
• Incident-based operational support
• Ability to work independently in time-critical environments.
