Senior Project Engineer — Client-Side — EV Infrastructure — Sydney

The Placement Valley is partnering with an Australian veteran-owned advisory firm to appoint a Senior Project Engineer for a high-profile EV transport infrastructure project in Sydney. This is a rare opportunity to work client-side on one of Australia’s emerging infrastructure growth areas: large-scale electric vehicle charging and transport infrastructure.

The role

Working client-side, the Senior Project Engineer will provide governance, oversight, reporting, and contract administration support across the construction phase of a complex EV infrastructure project.

You will work closely with a civil contractor, monitoring progress against program, contract requirements, and delivery milestones, while supporting the Head Contractor and advisory team with strong commercial and delivery discipline.

About you

You will bring:

• 5+ years’ experience as a Project Engineer on complex Australian infrastructure projects
• Strong civil engineering background
• Electrical, transport infrastructure, or EV infrastructure exposure highly regarded
• Demonstrated experience providing governance and oversight against a contractor’s program
• Client-side, consulting, or advisory delivery experience preferred
• Strong stakeholder management, reporting, and contract administration capability
• Bachelor of Engineering, ideally Civil or Electrical
• Relevant professional accreditation, such as Engineers Australia or equivalent, preferred
