Risk and Compliance Manager

A leading and highly respected Australian organisation is seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Manager to join its established Risk & Quality function. This is a critical role supporting the Head of Risk, with ownership across enterprise risk, incident management, and crisis frameworks.

Your new role

Reporting to the Head of Risk, you will play a key leadership role in driving and enhancing the organisation's enterprise-wide risk management capability. You will take ownership of key frameworks, systems, and processes, while partnering closely with senior stakeholders across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Leading enterprise operational risk management and facilitating risk assessments
• Owning and enhancing the incident management framework and system
• Driving the development and delivery of the crisis management plan
• Managing and optimising the enterprise risk system (e.g. GRC platform)
• Maintaining and uplifting the organisation's risk management framework and policies
• Supporting broader initiatives across compliance, business continuity, and risk culture
• Delivering high-quality reporting to Executive and Board-level stakeholders

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a highly capable risk professional with strong stakeholder engagement and strategic capability. You will bring:

• Extensive experience in enterprise risk management, compliance, incident and crisis frameworks
• Strong knowledge of ISO standards (e.g. ISO 31000, ISO 22301, ISO 37301)
• Proven experience engaging with senior leaders and influencing organisational outcomes
• Demonstrated ability to uplift risk maturity and culture across complex organisations
• Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills (including Board reporting)
• Relevant tertiary qualification in risk, compliance or a related discipline
• Experience within complex, multi-site or regulated environments will be highly regarded.
